What’s on my Workbench?

Here’s what’s cluttering up my workbench these days.
The Gem Faire came to town a couple of weeks ago, and I swear I’m like a kid in a candy store. To be honest, they look good enough to eat, don’t they?

After casing the joint 3 times, I exercised restraint and came home with a modest collection of fluorite, smoky quartzes, lapis, and jaspers, I especially like these tiny bead strands – super dainty.

But wait, can’t miss the Mount Hood Rock club’s annual show. I love watching this collection of rock dorks stand proudly around tables showing each other the cool dusty rock they found. (And, yes, I’m as dorky a rock dork as they come)

I drooled over all the petrified wood they had (but, Toby, you already have pounds of petrified wood – NO MORE TILL YOU USE IT UP!) And ended up being quite happy with the quartz and amethyst slices I picked up. These will cut down into some very sweet little pendants.
